For NGOs, civil society organisations, and community initiatives.

Designed for the Widest World Possible.

Origins of Play was not designed for ideal conditions. It was shaped by nearly a decade of work with youth representing 60+ countries. It does not assume what young leaders have access to. It meets them where they are.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE SECTOR

The community we grew up in.

The organisations in this space are the sector we grew up in and the community we most want to serve.

Origins of Play is not designed as an intervention for organisations in this space. It is designed as a low-lift enrichment tool that sits alongside whatever work is already being done. It does not prescribe a model. It does not require specialist facilitation. It does not compete with existing programming.

It is an offering. Something a young leader can pick up, work through, and carry forward - whatever the context, whatever the sport, whatever level they are at.

If you have spent years building a programme you believe in, we are asking whether there is a space - in a term, a training block, or a project cycle - where a grounding in the origins of play would give your young leaders something to hold.

WHAT ORIGINS OF PLAY OFFERS NGOs

Enrichment, not intervention.

SDG Alignment

The SDG alignment runs through Modules 3 to 5, connecting the global goals to the Fundamentals of Being - the human needs that underlie them. The programme requires young leaders to apply that learning in their own community throughout. The generative reflection this produces generates genuine local knowledge: a map of the sport-for-change ecosystem in the learner's own context, documented and exportable.

Designed for Varied Contexts

Origins of Play does not assume stable internet access, access to specific equipment, or familiarity with formal learning environments. The app functions in low-bandwidth conditions. The pace is chosen by the learner. The Playbook is a personal record, not a live submission. The experience is designed to flex around the realities young leaders are living in - not to require those realities to flex around it.

Low-lift By Design

Origins of Play does not require facilitation, dedicated session time, or specialist staff to deliver it. Young leaders work through the programme independently, at their own pace, on any device. For NGOs running complex, multi-strand programmes with stretched teams, that matters. A coordinator dashboard gives full visibility on cohort progress without requiring individual management. The Playbook captures everything automatically. Your staff stay focused on the work only they can do.

THE 1-1 MODEL

Access is not conditional here.

For every paid place across every One All product, one free place is funded. Those funded places are distributed through One All's partner network of NGOs, community programmes, and development organisations.

There is no application process. There is no reduced version of the experience. Every funded place is identical to every paid place in every respect - the same six modules, the same fourteen lessons, the same Playbook, the same Certificate of Completion.

This is not charity. It is the structure of how One All works.

SAFEGUARDING AND DATA PROTECTION

Answers before you need to ask.

We appreciate  that safeguarding and data protection carry particular weight for organisations working with young leaders in complex or fragile contexts. Origins of Play was designed with those realities in mind. The Playbook is a personal record held by the learner, not a data submission held by us. We do not require young leaders to share personal information beyond what is necessary to create an account. We are happy to discuss any specific compliance requirement your programme or your donors require before you commit to anything.

I used to think that the 11-a-side was so big when we got to play on it. After this experience, I feel I am part of something much much bigger.

THE 1-1 COLLECTIVE

Working more closely together.

Some organisations come to One All for Origins of Play and find that it opens a conversation they want to continue. About what a deeper partnership could look like - one that goes beyond delivering a programme and into building what comes next.

We have a space for that. It is called the One All Collective. It is designed for organisations that are already doing serious work in the sport-for-development space and want a deeper relationship with the ancestral philosophy behind Origins of Play. It involves co-delivery, shared learning, and revenue sharing

If that sounds like a conversation worth having, we would very much like to have it.
